 James J. York, M.D.

Graduate of Georgetown Undergraduate and Georgetown University School of Medicine. Orthopedic Residency: University of Maryland/Shock Trauma Center; three years active duty service in the Army and Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Uniformed Services University, Bethesda, Maryland. Clinical Instructor at University of Maryland Orthopaedic Department. Nineteen years experience in Anne Arundel County treating recreational, high school, college and professional athletes. Coordinator of Sports Medicine at Chesapeake Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center.

Dr. York is dedicated primarily to treatment of injuries and degenerative conditions of the knee, shoulder; including advanced arthroscopic knee and shoulder ligament reconstruction and joint replacement surgery. Dr. York is a specialist in cartilage transplant surgery.

Over the past 19 years, Dr. York has shown a special interest in the treatment and prevention of sports injuries. He has provided game coverage; preseason sports physicals, and coach training seminars for our community and state. He is the team physician for Spalding and Glen Burnie High Schools. Dr. York has also served as a youth soccer coach for Severna Park for many years and has earned his USSF "D" license.

He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America and the International Cartilage Research Society.

 

Kerry K. York

BS in Exercise Science from Florida State University. Certified personal trainer, certified sports nutrition specialist and certified professional rescuer.

Played soccer at the highest levels including seven years in the Maryland Olympic Development Program and Region One ODP team for five years. Played four years varsity at Severna Park High School which included one state championship. Gatorade player of the year in 2000. Played at Florida State University which was consistently in the top ten teams of the nation and an ACC finalist. Her Florida State career included one Sweet Sixteen and one Final Four appearance in the College Cup tournament. Kerry is currently coach of a top level travel youth soccer team and an assistant soccer coach and goalkeeper coach at Severna Park High School.

 

 

 

 

 

Daniel E. Stenger, PA-C, AT-C, CSCS

Masters candidate in Sports Medicine / Biomechanics from Boise State University. Currently: Physician Assistant, Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Specialist at Chesapeake Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Center.

 

Hugh O. House, M.D.

 Undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University, 1991 and Medical Degree from University of Maryland, 1996. Internship and Orthopedic Residency at University of Texas, Medical Branch in Galveston, 2001. Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship at the Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery, Louisville Kentucky, 2002. Provided medical coverage for Galveston Ball HS (High School with the most graduates that play for the NFL) and Sam Houston State University. Specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery.

 

Bryan R. Klepper, M.D.

 Graduated from St. Mary’s High School; Undergraduate degree from University of Virginia, 1992 and Medical Degree from University of Maryland, 1996. Orthopedic Residency at the Tufts University Orthopedic Program. Participated with the medical team covering the Boston Celtics through the New England Baptist Bone and Joint Institute. Specializes in knee and shoulder arthroscopy, sports medicine and joint replacement.

 

Amir R. Moinfar MD

Dr. Moinfar completed advanced fellowship training in shoulder surgery and sports medicine at the Duke University Medical Center.  His practice is dedicated primarily to both open and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee, sports medicine, and joint replacement surgery.

 Dr. Moinfar is a native of Northern Virginia, and he obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia.  He then received his medical degree from Georgetown University, and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency training at the University of Maryland/Shock Trauma Center.  Dr. Moinfar then pursued an additional year of fellowship training at Duke University where he gained expertise in the most advanced treatment of complex shoulder and knee problems, including reconstructive and restorative procedures for cartilage and meniscal injury.  He also trained extensively in both arthroscopic surgery, and joint replacement surgery. 

 Dr. Moinfar has a special interest in the education, prevention, and treatment of sports-related injuries, and acted as an assistant team physician for Duke University, North Carolina Central University, and Jordan High School.  He is now the team physician for North County High School.

Dr. Moinfar’s research interests include shoulder instability and knee ligament injuries.  He is a candidate member of both the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
